CINDY JACKET
"Thankfully, for the
guys, more and more ladies are getting involved in motorcycling.
Thankfully, for the ladies, more and more apparel companies
are pying attention. LOOKWELL has just introduced a great
leather riding jacket, the Cindy, designed for “ladies only”.
The cut is stylish and comfortable and, rest assured, no
one will mistake this one for a hand-me-down from one of
the guys.
All of the necessary protective
measures have been taken to add safety to style. The jacket
comes with armor in the shoulders and elbows, as well as
padding for the back. The leather is supple yet thick and
the stitching is there for the long run. Reflective piping
spices up the look and increase nighttime visibility.
After a week on the road
in Wisconsin, the Cindy proved a worthy companion. The jacket
handled the cool summer days perfectly and, with the addition
of the removable liner, the nights weren’t a problem either.
But without vents, the Cindy was definitely designed with
cooler weather in mind.
LOOKWELL has been making
top quality garments for the street and track for over 30
years, and the workmanship really shines through on this
jacket. Thanks to LOOKWELL, the ladies can look good on the
road and be protected from it too."

SILVERSTONE JACKET/ROCK
PANTS
“Our most recent products
from the Dutch company LOOKWELL have lined up to their 30-year
tradition of quality and style.
The Silverstone jacket and
Rock pants have the “combo zip around” feature. This allows
the customer to create their own jacket/pant combination.
The Silverstone jacket has elasticized spandex in the chest
and shoulders and comfortable pre-curved sleeves. Vulnerable
seams are safety stitched for added protection and the zippered
thermo liner helps tame those cool mornings.
The Rock pants are also elasticized
at the key points and have easily removable knee armor. A
narrow cut at the ankles allows the legs to be easily tucked
into the boots with no bunching or discomfort.
The Silverstone/Rock combo
was worn on tour with excellent results. The leather is soft
yet thick, and stays comfortable from dawn to dusk. One rather
forgettable day of rain left the pants slightly stretched
in the bottom, but the rider stayed dry. These are not racing
garments; they are conservatively styled for the touring
rider. If you are in the market for comfortable, functional,
leather touring gear, you’ll do well to check out LOOKWELL.”

VIPER ONE PIECE
SUIT
”The vast majority of motorcycle riders seem to wear their
riding clothes at least one size too big. Look carefully
next time you see a motorcyclist and I think you'll agree. What's
the difference? Next time you watch a motorcycle race
on TV, check out the fit of the racers' leathers. Other
than the seat of their pants, which always look baggy unless
the rider is in a racing crouch, their leathers fit like
they were painted on.
Of course, their leathers
are custom-made, and that makes a huge difference. I
can tell you from my recent experience in trying on off-the-rack
one-piece leather suits that it isn't easy for even a boringly
average body shape like me to find a set that fits.
But it is important to keep
trying, because each manufacturer will have a slightly different
concept of the ideal body type for their suits. Dave
Young covered this subject also in his interesting webBikeWorld
article on choosing a leather one-piece suit. Dave
is about the same height and weight as me, although he's
certainly in much better shape! But he ran into lots
of problems trying to find an off-the-rack set of leathers
that would fit over his large diameter calves.
I'm 5'10" tall (178
cm) and weigh about 185 lbs. (84 kg, or 13.2 stone). I
have about a 35/36" waist (89 cm) and a 30" inseam
(76 cm). It's hard to tell from the motorcycle leather
manufacturers' sizing charts, but I'm supposed to theoretically
fit into a size 54 or 56 (Euro) leather suit. I picked
the size 56 Lookwell Viper and it honestly feels like it
fits me perfectly
Conclusion
All in all, I'm very pleased with the Lookwell Viper leather
suit. I like the styling; it fits me very nicely; it
uses 1.2 - 1.4mm thick leather; the edges of all the leather
sections are folded before they're stitched; and it carries
decades of Lookwell experience.”
